If you’ve been through remediation or are about to start a project, you’ve probably heard the acronym ERMI before. The EPA developed this test to determine the relative moldiness index in homes, which helps quantify the contamination level. Its ease of use and fairly low cost has caused it to become quite popular over the years in the mold treatment industry. Like most techniques, though, there’s a right way and a wrong way for utilizing this testing method.

All too often, I find that ERMI testing is completed and used improperly during a remediation project. Without proper testing, you and your remediation team won’t have an accurate picture for treatment. To help clear up any confusion, my team and I created a video to explain what ERMI is, using it to test your home correctly, and how to analyze the data accurately. Watch the video below to learn more.
